I have a 2004 LB7 CCLB with 235,000 miles. I'm still on my original front pads with plenty of room left. Rears were replaced during a parking brake shoe replacement.

Seems like the original OEM worked sufficiently for you.
Just like best battery question, what’s the best when there ACDelco lasted 9 years.

You got 185k out of the original brakes and are asking for something better? I think you are asking a question that you already know the answer to. How much better do you expect an aftermarket option to be??

When I sold my 04 GMC it had 455k miles with the original pads. Stay with factory parts.
