leak on top of transfer case, not pump rub question

Hello all. I thought i had a solution to the slow leak i saw on the rear output seal so I changed the rear output seal today. I noticed a drip of atf coming from above after a short drive after install, thus eliminating the leak being from the bottom of the rear seal as suspected. I looked above the transfer case and see there's fresh atf coming from the access port where the snap ring resides???? I've attached a pic and was hoping for some expertise on what i need to do to resolve or cause of this leak. The right side of the pic points toward the rear of the truck on the transfer case. Any help is greatly appreciated as i was really trying to avoid having to replace the rear half as my driveway is somewhat slanted and i didn't want to tackle that unless i was certain it's needed of course(no transmission jack, etc). thx again for the help.
Kevin

Is the TC overfilled?

Maybe spray down the area with brake cleaner, wipe it down, then drive around a bit to narrow down where exactly it is leaking?

Well i thought it was the rubber seal from the pic above. After further inspection today after wiping it down, it seems its pump rub from just above that rubber seal. I wasn't aware there could be pump rub on the top of the transfer case, but i believe there's a tiny hole there which is dripping down on top of that rubber seal. looks like jb weld time until i get a break to replace the rear transfer case half.....

Pump rub doesn’t accure on top. Bottom right.

Thought I read it can happen in numerous places as well to include the top on other posts. Sure seems like a tiny pin hole behind that rubber grommet on top to me.

Bought an Aluminum rear half and putting in the pump rub kit in tomorrow. Sounds like about a five hour job.
