drive shaft bolts torque spec

Searched and came up empty.

I may be removing the rear of the drive shaft where it connects to the diff. I don't have a service manual yet, but I need the torque specs when I reattach the drive shaft.

Anyone have a manual handy that can tell me the spec on those 4 bolts?

Get them tight but dont twist them off. Im totally serious. Unless the brand new trucks have something weird i havent seen, torquing these bolts to particular "spec" is more work than necessary.

I foudn the spec to be 19 ft lbs. The trick is getting a torque wrench to work in the space provided.

Should I be using loctite as well?

the bolt head is 5/16 right? I typically use a quarter inch drive breaker bar with a six point deep socket.

I have removed a few shafts, and NEVER used any torque value other than stated above, tight, but do not over do it.

No loctite, and I own/have owned MANY Harleys, and only use the loctite SPARINGLY.
