Hoping someone can give some advice. We got a 2008 GMC 2500hd crewcab that we are putting a 4.5 bds lift on and it recommends a 5.5 backspacing with 33x12.5x17 on a 9 inch rim.We already bought 295/70/17 tires a few months ago but the rims we like only have 4.75 and 5 inch backspacing. Will the 295 width help compensate for the smaller backspace or does 5.5 that bds recommends the only backspacing that will not rub?In hindsite we would have picked a rim with the correct backspace first and a tire last but new to the lift world and getting more educated the more I read. Thanks from the newbie!
