Terrain Tires on 2000 Chevy 3500 Dually

I need help.. have a 2000 Chevy 3500 dually and want to put BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A 235/85/16 on rear, all four. Got a good used tire price. Keep my Definity Dakota H/T 235/85R16 on front. Can I put the all terrain tires on rear and keep Definity on front? Another option is putting 4 Goodyear G614 235/85R16 14 ply tires on rear (trailer tires?) with Definity on front . Any help would be greatly appreiated with either combo!!!!
Thanks,
Dan

We recommend having the same tires both front and rear (size, model, brand & P/N) for the best handling and braking characteristics. If you're 4WD this is crucial as differences in overall diameter of tires can cause each assembly to spin at different RPMs resulting in possible damage to the drive train.

We want you safe so we do not recommend putting trailer tires on your dually (or any other passenger car/truck). Trailer tires are designed for use on trailers only and carry lower speed ratings.

Here is some additional information about trailer tires:Trailer Tire Facts | Discount Tire Direct.

Are you currently running 235/85R-16? We show the stock size is 225/75R-16 which would make the 235/85R-16 ~2.44-inches taller than stock.

I had the A/T's on all three of my S10 work trucks and liked them a lot. On my 1 ton SRW however, they didn't anywhere near the mileage they did on the S10. About half, in fact.

I don't think the trailer tires are rated at enough speed to put on the truck. As for the A/T tires, they will fit but as Tom said they wear faster for some reason.
