Michelin LTX MS2 First Impressions

Well it was time for some new shoes and after much reading and debating in my brain I decided on to go with Michelin LTX MS2s. I have heard the ride is great, but I have to say I am VERY impressed. My truck is completely stock and will stay that way. So I am running 245/75R16s. The ride improvement is extremely noticeable despite the fact that I was running them at a full 80psi and running empty. I normally kept my Bridgestone’s at 65psi rear when running empty, just enough to keep the TPMS happy. Mileage wise, I only have about 120 beltway miles so far and it is hard to say but it does appear that there is a small increase there too. I will post back after the 1200 mile tow (one way) I am heading out on.

Anybody on the fence with these tires, I say go for it

From my experience - don't expect much change for at least 55,000 mile.

Why? Class E tires and I haven't read anything where these are failing. I love the ride and I haven't had any issues towing 6-7k.

I have about 3k towing 7k with another 1k in the bed. Towed great. As Ray said, they are Load E tires.

Last set of these I put about 110k on them before I replaced them. I ran 80psi on all 4 corners

I'm 30k miles into them now and still very happy. I have heard good mileage out of them, but 100k. Wow!

Have my eyes on these too - for year round use and the low rolling resistance rating for possuible MPG increase - good to hear the ride is sweet.

Running Toyo H/T's summer now and Bridgestone Blizzaks winter. Both been good but tired of the semi-annual change out.

I can say that for any snow I have encountered with them they where great. IMO they get better traction in a little snow than the OEM tires did in the rain.
