New 2020 3500 crew cab LB gm truck, What are must haves? Reviews?

Considering a new truck. 2020 Chevy ( could go GMC ) 3500 Crw Cab LB SRW Dmax

My must-haves are pretty basic: Tilt wheel, dual-zone AC, and comfortable seat (think I prefer the upgraded 40/20/40 with heat and headrest).
Mechanically: heavy-duty frt springs, factory gooseneck wiring, Bedliner.

Either will go LT with Allstar Edition (which I think is Convenience + safety Pkg) or LTZ.

I don't see much advantage to go LTZ except chrome looks & mechanically its power extending mirrors. The better LT mirrors can heat, pwr adj and pwr fold but are a manual extension. Not that much of biggie I don't think except only 2 positions in and out manually and might go a little out with pwr extension. I don't like them fully extended when not needed.

It doesn't ice here much so hill descent I don't think is going to get much use. Z71 seems overpriced for rancho shocks and badge.

Is there anything major I am missing. It'll be a major generational jump in truck for me. What have you regretted not getting on a new truck?

Are leather seats really better? Are cloth and good cover better in the long run?.

My current truck is vinyl flooring and I like it. Or are new floor mats that good and not really an issue since I'll get mostly full cover anyway. It's just so annoying getting grit out of carpet.

Both manual and power mirrors are either in or out, no in-between.

All-Star edition has all the safety crap like park sensors that never stop beeping, blind spot monitoring for those that apparently can’t turn their head and don’t know how to use mirrors, and a few other items that seems to not be worth the price of the package.

Honestly asking us what we would buy isn’t going to help you be happy, you need to get what you need. As far as all the options, they are where car manufacturers make their money, and from what I have seen and people I talk to, nobody knows what options they actually have or how to use them, they just like to brag about how macho their truck is because it’s a “loaded” Duramax.

Use this

Or this

If you tow a 5th wheel you may consider this
GOOSENECK / 5TH WHEEL PACKAGE
Your wish list is pretty basic. You’ll need to order this for your dealer most likely won’t be able to find one.
You’ll need to order soon the cut off date is coming up fast for 2020.

I have built different trucks up on those links as well as https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/

Do you know about the ballpark cut off date on ordering?

I went to one dealer mid-December and the salesman said he wasn't able to order yet. Another dealer today said he couldn't order anymore and had to locate an existing truck?

Felt he was playing the wear me down game. He took 20 minutes to locate 1 truck acted like it was worst than a needle in a haystack.
