2006

Looking to purchase a Chevrolet 2006 3500 with a 6.6L duramax. The engine has 267k miles. What are some of the problems I should be aware of? Does this truck have any real known issues? The present owner has done a lot of work and appears to have taken good care of the truck.

Thanks for any help or guidance you folks can give.

If you push it over 500hp you can crack a piston. Waterpump can start to leak after a while and you have to pull the balancer off to change it so I'd see when the pump was done. Are there any aftermarket mods on the truck?

If everything checks out and it's a good price go for it. You should probably put a 3in down pipe cause the factory one is very restrictive. I have a ppe downpipe since its carb legal that I bought from xdp for $135.
