fuel injectors on 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 LS 4x4

Hey guys,
I can get a pretty good deal on this 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 LS 4x4 6 speed auto dually from the original owner with only 57000 miles on it in primo condition for about 17k. The only thing is to my understanding those years 01-04 had a problem with the fuel injectors. If they were replaced by dealer under warranty, no problem, but these have not been. What do you guys think, should I go for it anyway? Otherwise if I iend up having to replace the injectors, what am I looking at about 5k? Thank you in advance for your input...

With an LB7, you always budget in an extra $2500 for the inevitable, even if they were replaced sometime in the past.
Its not a big deal if you can do the replacement yourself.
The new SAC style injectors are looking promising for longevity, though.

Thanks Tom, I looked at a utube video on replacing injectors myself, dont think thats something I could handle myself. But I was wondering, werent the injectors a recall issue and I could have them done now? Maybe they were not, I tried googling but couldnt find anything.
