AXE, you're right about the ghetto look of hydrographic wood trim. Wood trim only belongs on a RR or Bentley where it was done right.

The orange colored wood in the previous generation of trucks left something to be desired and I did not care for it my wife's 2007 Tahoe. I will give you that.

The wood grain trim in this series appears to be of a much better color palette and matched to the interior better. I will try that long before a tape job.

I didn't attack anyone, don't take it personal. I just stated an opinion on the low quality appearance of fake carbon fiber. I have a Ducati motorcycle with some select pieces of carbon fiber. You can spot the bad stuff a mile away. While you pay dearly for the good stuff, the bad stuff just serves to cheapen the appearance.

Clearly we agree that everyone has personal preferences. Have a nice day!

Here are a couple photos of my silver with hatching trim. It looks different depending upon the lighting, but the darker silver matched the bezel around the touch screen well, while the lighter grey provides some contrast. I think it would look good in your black truck.

The pictures aren't perfect, my camera had a hard time focusing on the hatch pattern when I got too close.

Iridium is the new black!

I actually like that color and thought about getting the Chevy in that color which is called Tungsten Metallic, the next best thing to black.
