I find it highly theraputic to get under my truck and change my oil and grease my chassis.

Sadly, I haven't found a dealer or lube joint yet that actually lubes the chassis, but they all check the box on the form and look you in the eye and tell you they did. I just don't trust the low rent dudes changing the oil and lubing the chassis.................it's not like their certified or experienced mechanics.

Unfortunately, I have to report my fuel mileage has been on a downward spiral since about 1800-1900 miles on the odometer. I now have about 2600 miles on mine and it is at its worst.

About one month ago I noticed it started to shave off a tenth or so each day to my overall average and the DIC was showing less instant mpg levels compared with previous. I attributed that to the warmer temps and just the flavor of the day.

About 1 week later I did my lift and 295/65/R20 Toyo MT tires, so I expected to see a 1-2 mpg decline immediately. That did occur, but the trend lower still seems to be playing out, but may have finally stabilized.

Around town I am now getting 12-13 mpg in combined freeway and street traffic. Not a lot of slow or stop and go, but routine city stuff. My only real highway test came last weekend, but I had just hooked up my toyhauler that was sitting about 10K lbs. I did about 250 miles that included some city traffic, but mostly rural highways some flat, some mountains (up to 6% grade). I only managed to get less than 8 mpg (7.68 to be exact) on that trip. My DIC reads higher mpg than my calculator computes.

Needless to say, I am disappointed with the poor mileage I am seeing and the trend downward. I guess I will have to run it into the dealer and see if there is an issue. Once I get some feedback from them, I will be able to conclude if I am just another victim of the emissions equipment performance reduction plan or just one of the guys that got a turd.

I may be loading up the DuramaxTuner more quickly than I thought. If that doesn't work, I may have to fine tune the exhaust system.

The truck seems to run fine and does not seem down on power or lack any overall performance. In fact, it was strong on the tow in the mountains.
