Buying a white dually LTZ. My biggest concern is paying 60 K for a new truck and its already dated if they try to compete with Ford. Its like buying electronics....As soon as you buy it, something newer and better comes along.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I wouldn't worry about it being dated, especially with an entirely new body and interior. The chassis is a few years old, but it is still head of the pack. And just like a quality electronic item, as long as it has good hardware you can always update the software, and the Duramax has excellent hardware! BTW, what are you towing with that new dually?

From what is being said, the 2015 duramax is under-rated in the power department. Alligator performance supposedly got 375/796 out of a completely stock truck. - Is that accurate? I don't know. However, I wouldn't be surprised being GM did re-tune several of the tunes calibrations for "extended power output".

It may be attempt to make ford look bad come time when a 2015 vs 2015 vs 2015 towing article comes out. If so, that'd be funny.

I mentioned this in another post too...My 2015 3500 SRW 'feels' much stronger than my 2011, I don't have data to suggest it is but man, sure feels stronger .
