new at this stuff. but learning fast...

Thank you for your response. This site will be something I can use time after time. I appriate the form... I'm researching infromation in the evenings trying to dicide what type truck will work best for me. i'm thinking about a 2500 LT2 package, 4x2 with a msrp price of 41K internet dealer is willing to sell for invoice quoted at 36.9K I am of course looking for the best deal I can find.
The truck in question they will hold for me until Thurday evening, which time i will sign papers for or decide on additional optitions. I'm now wanting to include a 4x4 package for sure. Not sure what my next option would be for nigotionaltion. any thoughts........ PS: the IYRW # was intended to represent, "A GM in every driveway program" sorry for the confusion... Robert

HI ROBERT & you need to ask the dealer IF THEY WILL ACCEPT A G.M.S.D.(General Motors Supplier Discount Pricing Authorization #) Also referred to as a GMID(General Motors In The Driveway.) If they will then ask to see what the G.M.S.D. Price is for that truck. It is on the invoice. It might be the best way to go!!?? If you need a #, contact me by e-mail to = [email protected] That is = howard_m18 at yahoo.com Howard

Purchasing my first ever GM vehicle

Just found this site a couple of days ago and trying to absorb the wealth of info. I am close to working out a deal on a truck and am curious about getting one of these GM in the driveway #'s. What would be the particulars to obtain one?

Thanks,

Thanks for the Help....

I am currently scheduled for a purchase/business deal tomorrow evening with the intranet sales person regarding this deal. Thanks for the information!!! This is extremely helpful to me... If necessary, I have no problem waiting for days or weeks to make my final deal. (at least until the end of the month before GM incentives expire) I wil ask of the local GM dealer if they accept a G.M.S.D Pricing authroization number, which will help my nigotiations even more... I know I will purchase a chevy diesel truck to haul my 32' camp trailer soon, so I do appriciate your offer of the GMSD #, we will see tomorrow!!!!!!!. Thanks

Hello,

I currently own a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 Ext. Cab.

I am going to purchase a 2007 GMC 2500HD D/A Crew Cab. A new baby and a fifth wheel are pushing this to happen with-in a couple of weeks.

I got this site from an RV forum. They said you guys are very willing to help out.

Is anyone willing to give out a GMSD # or "GM in the driveway"?

I know that my dealer will work with it. My only question is what do I have to tell him where I got the number from? Do I have to say that it was from a family member, a friend or what?

Thanks in advance and please let me know if additional information is needed.

Thanks again,

Ryan

From what I've seen, dealers will usually give you GMS priing without proof. I spoke to a saleman about 3 days ago that showed me GMS prices and invoice prices.
Just call a dealer, tell them you qualify for GMS pricing. Then get a quote over the phone. It is a non-negotiatiable price. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy without supplier pricing, but it is always a good deal.

PS: How can you guys get 4/month. I am entitled to 2/yr.

To each his own, BUT I can't see where or why a person would tell a lie just to get the ball rolling in the Hassle game. Are you saying that a salesperson actually showed you G.M.S. on a vehicle? Wasn't what he showed you a G.M.S.D. Price?? There aren't that many vehicles out there & the dealer would be silly to show all the prices to someone. Howard
