Just an FYI - from a long time Lurker.

You *can* match (or better) the certificate price.
You can even match (or better) the employee discount price.

Check via edmunds (or?) for dealer invoice.
Check to see what dealer holdback is.

You now have a pretty good idea of true dealer *cost*.

Ultimate dealer *cost* . . .which you won't know is: dealer invoice, minus dealer holdback, minus any factory incentives to the dealer.

Get out there and find a dealer that will deal - doesn't matter if they're out of (your) state.
Once you have your best price - shop it locally.
Then you decide - travel to get the best price - or did a local dealer come close enough to get your business?

This only works for ordering a new truck.
Dealer has the potential for making more $$ on existing inventory.

Does it work?
No guarantees - but . . .
Beat the "employee discount" (dealer invoice) available to me via wife's brother.

Haven't checked with these folks lately - but try Dave Smith Motors in Kellog Idaho,
for your starting point. (IIRC Dodge & Chevy dealer).

BTW - With the exception of dealers you *know* are making great deals - like the above- Never, never talk to a salesperson! (In person = Fleet Manager *only* - or internet sales).

Best plan is sell your trade (if you have one) - and line-up your own financing.

Good luck!

Employe certificate

Hi. I just ordered a 2015 3500 Chevy SRW CCSB LTZ DMAX and am curious on the certificates that are sometimes available. Thanks Jim.

Any of you folks still offering up Supplier discounts? I have a friend willing to let me use one in April, as he's already used up his for March.
As much as I hate it, I've lost faith in my old gal to get me there and back, so am looking to trade her in for a new one.

If you need a certificate and are going to use it, just PM me and I'll hook you up. I have up to 4 available per month
