Anyone have any new information from Reese as far as the Elite rail kit?

On order: 2011 3500 SRW CC S/B and looking specifically at the Signature/Elite series (slider version) since it seems to be about the only option for a "no rails in the bed" slider installation.

I've read the Elite rail installation pdf and it looks well within the realm of DIY.

For anyone that has recently purchased one of these, where were you able to find the best price (hitch plus shipping) from an online retailer? Lowest I have found is just under $1300 and free shipping.

Lastly, what are the approx. weights of the head and slider base and are they reasonably manageable for one person to remove?

Thanks in advance.

This is EXACTLY what I'm thinking of as well. Under bed rail, gotta have a slider, and a 16k hitch that one can take out of the bed without needing spinal and hernia surgery. I'm toying with the idea of a 3500HD short bed as well. I have a 35ft 5th wheel. btw, thanks for posting this info as I'd been wondering what the best solutions were out there.
