I guess my question is I ordered mine two weeks ago and still have not seen them from the dealer. I know they are showing up on trucks that are ordered with them but has anybody that has ordered them from the dealer received them yet?

I went to the gm parts site and there is no picture of the oval bars. They don't even give you the width of the oval tubes. On the gas engine model, they say the bars ar 6 inches wide. What gives? It's like sending them four hundred bucks and you get to reach into the grab bag.

When I had my truck in for mud flaps the guys said they had running boards that will fit. My 3500 SRW is 1 3/4 inches taller then my 08 was I was able to lower the hitch down 1 inch and it rides pretty level. I had to trim the back of my pin box for my 08 since it would hit the rails for the jack rabbit tonneau cover. As far as the hitch mounts go I have a 20k Reese and they had not started production on the mounts yet so I made my own..

You will love the truck it tows great (14k Cardinal 5th wheel) and better yet it holds you back going down hills and here in Oregon we have a lot of them.

I ordered mine from the factory with the 6" ovals. They are a dealer installed item. Dealer said "We will have them in a week". Dealer emailed me today, a week and half later saying the bars are on back order, no idea when to expect them. Good thing I am tall, sucks for the wife though.

OH WEAK! I ordered the 3" ones not realizing that the 3" ones aren't compatible with the diesel because of the Urea tank location...then I emailed my dealer to inform them they need to get me the 6" ones because the 3" ones won't fit! (Dealer hasn't been to training yet and didn't know about the compatibility issue.)

Looks like we are in the same boat. I'm 6'2" and could give a **** but my GF is 5'nuthin and is going to be bummed...I told her it's coming with the steps. Oh well...life is a series of disappointments then you die. Kidding
