2011 Reg. Cab Short Bed 2wd

I have been trying to find some pictures of the regular cab short bed 2wd duramax that they said will be coming out, but I have not found any yet. Has anybody else had luck finding some pictures?

It was a miss type on Chevy's site. Believe it's been changed now.

That sucks!

Why would it be sooooo bad to have a DMAX SS??? It's not like it wouldn't get like 30 mpg as well.

The article with the misinformation about the reg cab short box Duramax was on pickuptrucks.com. It originally said:

NEW MODELS
Chevrolet will also have two brand-new models for its HD Silverado lineup. There will be an SRW crew cab with a 6.5-foot cargo box and a two-wheel-drive regular-cab short box with a Duramax diesel.

"The two-wheel-drive Duramax regular-cab truck will probably be one of the fastest pickups that we've ever produced," Mikulec said.

Here's how it reads now:

NEW MODELS
Chevrolet will also have two brand-new models for its HD Silverado lineup. There will be an SRW crew cab with a 6.5-foot cargo box and a SRW Duramax regular-cab with an 8-foot box with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

"The two-wheel-drive Duramax regular-cab truck will probably be one of the fastest pickups that we've ever produced," Mikulec said.

The funny thing is after they corrected it the New Models info makes no sense because there are already 2500HD & 3500 SRW reg cab 8 foot box trucks available.

The press release also described (at the very bottom) the new 3500 std bed as a "Crew Cab Std Cab SRW". They meant std bed but you think someone would catch these things but it isn't surprising given GM's website can never get the figures right.

I would have bought a reg cab short bed DMAX. That would be awesome and pretty light for racing compared to others.

How does a reg cab HD long box qualify as a new model?

I wish they would build it, that would be one FUN truck, only way it could be better is if it was 4WD. I would trade my crew cab in a heartbeat
