Any chance of a 4500 pickup

Anyone know if there will be a higher GVW pickup in 2011+? I'd really like to see a 4500 pickup to compete with Ford and Dodge.

I'm pretty sure GM has pulled out of the Medium Duty (4500, 5500) line for MY11 and onwards.

Shame as a 4500 PU with low roofline would have been a great addition to the range.

I know the MD's are gone but I was hoping for a replacment and hoping it would be a 15,000lb GVW pickup

4500 Pickups

Yes aggread , I was anoyed that I couldn't get a manual trans and xcase in the 55!Give them all manual trans ( yes I will go for a "few" that could have auto's) if they can't drive them stay off of the road!! We could do with less drivers on the road. This why I got the 55 to make it a pickup. I may not shorten the frame ??? Will see?

In storeage, passing the time while I getting the money ready for changing it to a daily driver. It actually runs like a diesel should! Can't wait to start engineering the additions for the truck!

I am sure if Government Motors had anything to do with it they would screw that up too. GM needs some designers and management from Ford. They had a billion dollar profit for third quarter with out having to take any bail out money from the Gov. They are doing something wright. I wish GM would listen to their customers more. We all keep asking for the same things to change with their current model trucks. By the looks of it though the new F-450 pickup is not winning any votes with the Ford guys. They kinda sissyfied it.

Yeah a 4500 pickup with the HD Dana 70 front out of the kodiak would be awesome.

You can say that again. The Dana S110 is gone for a relatively weak POS, the 10 lugs are gone for 8 lugs, the 19.5 Alcoas are gone for 17s and the 14.5"/15.4" brake combo is replaced by 13.5"s...basically it's a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Sure am glad I bought my 08 beast when I did, just wish it had a Cummins or D/A up front. This 6.4 is okay but it's the weakest link of this rig.

and some big ugly site rigs too but then you'll know I'm getting old
