I don't think he's replacing them . All I ever hear about is how expensive it it to keep the 6L PowerStroke running

I get tired of IFS ruining my tires . Damn thing needs aligned every 25K or less to keep tires on it .

Amen to that - 17K miles on mine and already been aligned twice to try to stop the uneven tire wear up front.

Wife's 2001 F250 just went through it's first set of ball joints at 318K miles, along with drag link and tie rods. And that's with BFG/ AT 35's on the truck for most of it's life. (technically 315's, but 34.5" dia.)

GM only has 28% market share in the HD truck segment. Dodge has 25% and climbing for 2010 with no urea/ DEF requirement and a redesign that makes the truck more competitive, especially the interior. Ford has 47% share, and it sure ain't due to the 6.0 and 6.4 powerstrokes. (2009 numbers quoted from Diesel Power)

I love my Duramax - it was the best available at the time I bought it - 2009. But once that 6.7 Ford has a few years under it's belt.........all bets are off when it's time for a new truck.

4. NP205 manual shift GEAR DRIVE transfer case
5. DANA 70 F/R axles with a 4.10 gear hung with LEAF SPRINGS

This 4500 pick-up will out sell FERD & DODGE all day long GM could not keep this in stock

Hey GM i know you are monitoring this sit so tell your engineers too build this 4500 and just maybe you can out sell FERD's F-450
You can keep the CAT Motor no thanks

You could also check your man card at the door for getting a 6 speed Allison

screw it only offer it in a manual it will seperate the men from the boys

Sure thing, I'll put it right next to yours for boasting about a 12.7 @ 107

What does yours do

The 12.7 is just a start and I wouldn't call it boasting but it is pretty impressive with a 6" lift and 35" tires

If I could do it over again I would have never bought a truck with the ALLISON it is good as far as automatics go but still sucks IMO
