How much can I expect to pay OTD for an 08 LMM?

Im starting to seriously look into an 08 gmc ccsb 4wd d/a and the truck I want has an MSRP of 46,800. What can I honestly expect to walk off the dealer lot for? When is the best time to buy? All the 07s are off the lot now so there arent really any to be found that the dealer is trying to get rid of and I would prefer to order it to get everything I want. Im in no hurry to get it so Ill wait until the time is right. Ill be trading in an 06 jeep rubicon unlimited but I can take care of the haggling on trade in value, Im just trying to figure out how much wiggle room they have. My stepdad also has a gm producers discount since his company makes the plastics that GM uses in their vehicles. Thanks

Go to = www.familyfirst.com & build the truck under the "Supplier Pricing" section. That will give you the GMSD $ amount for that truck. Howard

Howard,

I think you mean www.gmfamilyfirst.com .

I think I may be in the market again myself.

Cody, there is a section on here in which a member here will give you a GM in the Driveway discount cert. i beleive. When i bought my truck, i demanded GM supplier discount( similar to GM in the Driveway im told) . My truck stickerd for 47,800. I got over 8,000$ off sticker with the discount. There IS wiggle room! Best time to buy a vehicle is the last day of the month.

Haha i guess i was wrong. I bought mine on the first of the month. Will they honor that GM in the driveway if the truck has been ordered? I would like to get that discount along with any other rebates that might be out there.

PETR 51488,
Yes, the GMSD (General Motors SDupplier Discount) is good on ALMOST all GM vehicles & is good on ordered vehicles as well as dealer vehicles. Send me a email to = howard_m18 at yahoo.com so we can get you "My Info. Pack &"My Magic" so we can track your "BABY" home. Where you be at? As soon as you get the SON (Sales / Dealer Order Number) send it to me. Howard

Thanks. I'm in NJ. I ordered on the 1st, and am still waiting on the numbers.

Go to this site and build your truck (http://autos.yahoo.com/make/). It will give you the MSRP and the Invoice. Start to deal at invoice with all rebates coming off the final agreed on price. Insist on no funny numbers, like advertising fee or dealer prep. IMHO, you should pay invoice plus a small doc fee ($75) less the rebates (plus tax and license). The invoice is less than supplier price as far as I can tell. Your truck should go for $42,000 less rebates (or about .89 or.9 of MSRP). At that, the dealer will make $1400 plus any hidden GM rebates to him.

Depends on the truck

I took delivery of my '08 LMM C3500 almost a week ago (last Wed).

LT2 with NAV, DVD, moving pedals, backup assist, elec trailer brake controller. Basically, everything except leather, 4X4, sunroof, dual alts, and elec sliding rear window.

Sticker was $50084. $300 over invoice was $44986. I was OTD (before any rebates or down payment) of $48186. There was $1500 cash-back to take off, but you get the idea.

Your invoice is .9 of MSRP which is right. But how did you get to the figure of $48,186? Is that tax and license? Did they tack on any funny money fees? [Just checked before edit CA has a 7-8% sales tax, almost as bad as ours.]
