Should I wait or get it now

I am contemplating on maybe buying a new 2008 2500HD CC LTZ. I can get it at invoice from my dealer, but should I wait till sometime next year to see if they have more incentives?
The dilema that I have is, my 06 that I have now is set up the way I want it. But, I have someone that has begging me to sell it to him, w/o the mods. However, I have to say, that it would be very hard for me to drive a stock truck with no BANKS 6 gun on it.
So do I wait till sometime next year or get one now?? Anyone have any advice?? Thanks guys. Anyone know if there are changes for 2009?

Another factor I was factoring in as well was the new 2008 DMAX can run on Bio-Diesel. Does anyone know if there are rebates for that from the States or Govt'? Is this a good enough reason to purchase an 08'?? Thanks again!

If it were me, as long as you're happy with the '06, I would keep it.

Although there haven't been many problems reported with the LMM engine itself, there are still some issues with the DPF and their correspondingly complex emissions system (Not enough high mileage trucks around to be able to gage how they will work long term, in my opinion). Tuners are still trying to find their "sweet spot".

BTW: The '06 GM Owners Manual says that it is OK to burn B5 (5% biodiesel) - Same as '07 and '08. To the best of my knowledge, GM has not changed their stance on any greater concentration than B5.

I haven't read much about any changes for the '09 model year.

I heard a rumor that there will be a 6.9 Duramax in 09 for the 3/4 and 1 tons. Don't know how true it is.

Normally I would trade off about every 4 years but want to see how all the new emissions stuff works out when the mileage begins to build. I'm hanging on to mine in the meantime. Understand the 08's are pretty fast off the factory floor.

Get the LMM and don't look back. You'll be glad you did.

I normally get a new truck every2-3yrs. I am going to be coming into my 3rd yr. with this one. I got it when they first came out. I'm probably going to wait for a few reasons. The 2010 model year is going to have to meet new regulations and they are some quirks that can be worked out till then. I love the interiors on the new ones, it's the same as in my Dads Tahoe. But I have to be honest, I drove my friends and after having the Banks 6gun on my truck for so long, the new ones feel like a slug, I know their not, but the just don't have that snap and power on reserve. Think I'll wait a little while longer, plus there is a new toy to come next year, "Blue Devil" Corvette

I'm going through the same dilemma here: trade in the 05 for a 07 Regency conversion. (2007 Chevy LMM, 4WD, CC/SB) I like the looks and ride of the new truck, but like you said, I'm finally getting the 05 set up to my liking. My 05 has given me zero problems. I don't really need the new truck, it's all want....
