So as I am reading more and more on this truck I was looking at the threads about "stumbling" which mine does and that it is possibly an injector issue. The last thing I need is another vehicle with more injector issues. Anyway it said his towing power was down. The number 5 injector was replaced and said his towing improved. Hmm. Thoughts?

Are the posts you were reading from 2017's?

There were a bunch of updates during 2017 build year. Recall was issued fall of '18 to update all vehicles (17's and early built 18's) to update all the issues.

All those changes implemented at the factory sometime in Oct 18.

Seems many of the injector issues turned out to be wiring connector issues. There was a bunch of problems reported for a while, but those problems seem to be much less common now (or gone?).

Hook up the trailer, put it in drive, enable the exhaust brake, set the cruise and enjoy the ride.

But. I do have the stumbling, stuttering, bucking what ever it is called issue. I guess I need to see if I can duplicate it at the dealer somehow. Where would one look for the wiring connector that was talked about?

Some have had stumbling and some don't. My 17 did it once, and never again. My 2018 at work did it a few times, but since hauling a heavy trailer a few times, it hasn't done it again. Many people have been searching for a solid explanation of the bucking issue, but to date, there is no definite source. How much life is left on your fuel filter monitor? I think I had to change my first filter at around 9k.

WOJO 1, when your truck bucks, is it under light load before the truck is fully warmed up or other conditions?

That is exactly when it does it. Seems intermittent though. Does not do it all of the time. Weird eh?

I have a 2018 in my fleet at work and it was doing the same thing. The truck only has 3,000 miles on it. I used it for a couple of trips towing a 28' gooseneck trailer and I showed it no mercy. Truck hasn't done the bucking since. I know that Banks' engineers have been looking for a cause of this and last I heard, they still don't know.

This "bucking" is interesting to me. I had my windows tinted on mine Wednesday, the guy who picked it up said it jerked hard on him hitting the interstate bringing it back to me. I assume he just fired it up and went for it while cold, it was about 50 degrees outside. I tried to duplicate it and could not. The pickup has about 500 miles on it right now. Figured he was high or just never drove a diesel before. Maybe he was experiencing something.
