400 miles +/-.

Then regen for about 20 minutes, during which time the instantaneous mpg will be about 10 mph less than if it was not in regen.

Rinse and repeat.

I have had a couple of times when regens were out of whack. In January after picking up my truck from a dealer in N. CA, the truck started off at around 15% soot load and 5 minutes later showed 100% and went into regen. It only lasted around 5 miles. Then when I hooked up to my 5er to leave for home, it did it again. This time it stayed in regen for about 15 miles. Next regen was about 800 miles later after pulling the Sierra Nevada mountains and running across Nevada. I was running my Derringer in stock mode. Once I got to Utah, I changed the Derringer to level 6 and my regens dropped to about 200 miles. It has been pretty reliable since then.
