Intermittent groaning noise at low speeds

I have a new 2019 3500HD with 3000 miles on it and last weekend my wife and passengers noticed a "groaning" noise when either accelerating or decelerating. I have horrible hearing but could hear it this weekend. It happens below 30 MPH, mostly around the 20-25 MPH range, though it happened twice at 7 MPH in a parking lot traveling maybe 10 feet between incidents. At first I thought it was the brakes but it happened without them being applied. It happens during turns and traveling straight so I think that removes the suspension. This weekend it must have happened 15-20 times last weekend maybe 10. We drove it around the neighborhood with me in the passengers seat and it happened three times. I cannot pinpoint the location but my wife say in the general area of the DEF tank.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I would definitely let the dealership figure it out.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
