When I worked at the GM truck plant the frames had additional gusset on the frame. But that was almost 20 years ago.

3500HD tire pressure delete

Why did they delete the tire pressure monitoring system?
I was surprised to see the "delete" on the build sheet.

Dealers were probably complaining about having to open up the TPMS limits for every HD truck they sell.
I air up and down weekly from 55lbs to 80lbs in the rear.

I don't think they ever offered TPMS on 3500's since they are not 'required' on vehicles over 10,000 GVWR.

(yes, there is one version of 3500 that is 10000, and therefore has TPMS, but it is a SRW and gasser only option)

Next gen will have them as standard, and also have a TRAILER tire monitoring option.

Why not just leave the sensor trigger point set to suit the lower pressure?

Thank you for the TPMS delete answer.
Much better than the salesmans response of "don't know."
