ABS and Brake Light Help

It's getting really annoying and didn't know if some of you might know what's going on. Intermittently my abs and Brake Light will come on. I don't know why. Maybe a ground wire? My parking brake is never engaged. Please help

It's fairly common for the ground of the ABS computer to fail, either altogether or intermittently. Under the cab by the driver's side door, there is a "wing" off the frame where several wires are bolted to the frame. Unbolt them, clean that area of the frame, clean the connectors, maybe apply a bit of dielectric grease and bolt them back down.

If this doesn't do the trick, then get a better code reader to read the abs codes.

If the light (ABS) comes on at startup, the EBCM is failing the self test.
Choices are:
...Broken wiring to sensor
...Dirty ground connection
...Internal EBCM fault

If the light comes on only after 20mph or so, faulty signal from a sensor.
Choices are:
...Loose front wheel bearing
...Front sensor lifted out of range by corrosion
......Both of which should give unwarranted ABS application at speeds under 10mph
If light comes on only after 20mph, AND, the speedometer is erratic.
Choices are:
...Worn-out bearings in transfer case
...Failing VSS on transfer case

If there is no rhyme or reason to the illumination, the rear VSS wiring is compromised between the bell housing and the driver's floor board, by abrasion of a wiring harness bracket. Or the front WSS wiring is abraded on the control arm.

Thanks guys. Took it to the shop today and it ended up being a bad wheel bearing.

Could be broken solder joints in abs controller. There are some you tube vids on how to get it apart and remelt the solder. Not easy to get apart as it is sealed up good. Mine does the same thing about once every 2 months.
