The 700K Build Begins!

To start If you don't already know i purchased a 2011 Silverado LML CC/LB with 695k. At first i was going to keep it stock. Then a few minor problems came about which led me to say screw it. Lets build this thing up. So last week i started! After reading through the Forum for months. I came to a conclusion the best and most important upgrade were as follows. So i Started with these.

1) S&B Ait intake system with dry filter( Better Air Flow)
2) Flo-Pro DP-Back Exhaust W/Muffler ( No More DPF)
3) Motor Ops Autocal With EFI Live.

I Will post pictures of the truck along with the upgrades to date.

Next up will be a Lift Pump( haven't decided which yet)But I'm torn between these three. Not in any particular order.

Fass
Air Dog
Kennedy

Along with a Monitoring device. Which i am leading towards the Edge Insight. Seems to be the most popular and best bang for you buck.

I would like to get a Ranch hand front bumper to match the rear bumper.
So if anybody has/knows of one for sale that is decently priced let me know!

Alright y'all Here are some Pictures. The first one is of the Odometer a few days after I drove her off the lot. The rest I took tonight. A little hazy in the pictures as it is starting to get dark outside.

Here is some interior pictures for you all. With the Current Mileage. Interior is in pretty damn good shape. few little Knicks here and there on the plastic but no major damage or tears in the upholstery. Really would like to get a full set of the Carhartt seat covers.

Nothing major in my mind. But i had a P204F code come up on me a few weeks back. Had it diagnosed to be the Control Supply Module for the DEF pump. Total to replace at dealer was $725. Truck still drove just fine main problems was the pump was over working itself to inject the DEF. My service exhaust warning would come on then go away after about 20-25 miles. Pretty much reseting itself. But i just decided to go away with the system all together as i had already planned on doing just that. I have replaced the TCM and Engine Oil Cooler. And a rear brake caliper just because i didn't feel like boring out the slide bolt trying to remove it.The protective rubber cover was missing which caused the hex head bolt to be rusted out and almost seemed like it was welded to the caliper itself. Oh and i replaced the Fuel Filter Minder Switch. it had a small crack in it causing the truck to have long cranks when starting.

Now To The Good Stuff

Just some simple pictures of the installation of the new S&B Intake, Flo-Pro 4" DP w/Muffler and the Motor Ops Auto Cal EFI Live. By the way have i mentioned how much more i love this truck after installing all of this.

I can't believe the difference it makes with such small upgrades. As Someone has told me " My Wallet Is Going To Hate Me".

Im Still looking for a Ranch Hand front bumper to match the rear. If anyone has one or knows of one let me know. Maybe we can work something out!!

I was able to take the Exhaust out in 2 pieces. No cutting at all. I did however cut the back pipe yesterday for storage purposes. But a simple 4" Butt joint clamp will work wonders if i ever need to re-install. This was a 6 pack of beers worth of time.

The Intake was a breeze to install. About 2 beers worth of time.

The Tuning however was the easiest part. Only about 1/2 a beers time!

Got any background on the truck? How did it rack up this kind of mileage?

The Background on the truck is quite impressive actually!

Im not sure if it was purchased towards the end of 2010 as a 2011 model or purchased in 2011. The original owner lived in north Michigan. He worked for a company out of Indiana that hauled travel trailers. He was constantly on the road across the country delivering these massive yet awesome road homes. The truck was purchased at a dealer in Northern Ohio. He had a lot of the service/ Maintenance performed there. The company he worked for also had Certified Duramax mechanics which they performed a lot of the maintenance as well. The guy stopped in to the dealer he purchased from for some regular maintenance and found a 2015 model that he really liked and decided to just trade in for it. So it was a win win for the original owner and myself.

Man I think a lot of people would love to know if this thing still has the original CP4 pump. Also it sounds like the def system was still in place.

The other incredible thing is how good of shape it's in. What I can't get over is that even if this thing was bought in late 2010 it's probably about 54 months old give or take a month or two. Using that, this thing has averaged 430 miles per day every day for four years. Almost seems impossible really? I mean the guy surely had to take a day off or two every now and then and I'm sure there were times that there either wasn't a trailer to haul or it had to have been in the shop from time to time. Realisically it probably averaged 500 miles per day when it was running. That is a ton of driving.

My father in law used to put about 70,000 miles a year on his farm/ranch pickups but he drove it every day of the year because he had to check cattle and stuff like that. This thing is averaging double that!
