LLY - possible FPR issue?

Mods: 4" exhaust, PPE level 2 tune, EGR delete

Just want to run this by everyone before I go throwing parts:

For the past year or so, having a small intermittent surge at idle. Very small, not super noticeable. As of two days ago, full blown lope, about 3-400 rpm jumps at idle. Clears up mostly under throttle. Checked my PPE scanner and can see the desired vs. actual pressures jumping from at idle. Last screenshot I have shows desired-4350, actual-3440. Number fluctuates all over, 1000 psi jumps.

Waiting on a new Bosch unit, can I dump some 2 stroke oil in and see if it helps even more until the parts get here? Just trying to get through until Wednesday when the parts arrive. Thanks for the help.

Chugging incredibly hard now, to where it's barely running.

I've put 2 stroke in mine b4 and didn't hurt anything, didn't really seem to do anything either or at least noticeable. My truck surges or surged alot and if had in gear with foot lightly on brake you could still hear it and feel the truck do a lil lunge and drove me insane cause I'd hear it all the time. However this past sat I went to AutoZone and got a bottle of Lucas cetane booster for diesels and my truck has gone back to smooth idle

Our 05 was surging and it was getting worse but really just annoying. Shop wanted to test and decide if the FPR was the issue. finally I decided to get it done and the morning I drove into the chev garage it was bucking and I was so happy. Phone call came soon after I was back to our fifth wheel. definitely the FPR What an awesome repair. Runs so great and better than ever at 105K. chevman

Fixed her right up until the water pump started leaking badly a few days ago, which is great...two **** jobs within days. Hoping it's not from head gaskets, but i don't have anything else to go off of to suggest that.

I did notice a different idle on two occasions after the fpr. Not really a chugging but i could really hear the turbo doing this kind of chopping whistle. I probably need to figure out how my injectors are running, but otherwise commanded vs actual is 150psi apart maximum that I've seen.

My 04 had a slight surge at idle, otherwise ran fine. After reading some info here, I decided not to wait and replaced the FPR. That solved the problem and it runs great.
