Vane position

I monitor my turbo vane position with my edge insight. Was wondering if anyone notices a higher percentage when engine is cold. My normal idle position is 87, and when cold it's around 93/94 percent. It does come back down too 87 when truck warms up

yup. its normal. you are probably seeing more boost at cruise also. its part of the cold parameters. the tc also doesn't lock up. its all to get the truck to heat up faster.

higher vane percentage = more boost = hotter air going into the intake = you get warmer faster
