Rick may yet talk me into an interesting experiment.

What would happen if you put an LB7 turbo on an LLY?

Would it overheat?

Don't post here if you have nothing to post but off topic BS. These threads are traditionally heated enough without help.

I just got the '06 airbox installed at the dealer. Took 3 trips and a reflash to get it right. Didn't have an overheat problem per se; but I just hadda have the newer box anyway! Anyone need my '05 airbox setup?

Does the air box replacement require a reflash? I'm really on the fence on this one. I have not had an overheating problem and am reluctant to open Pandora's Box by letting some faceless technician muck around with the computer with the wrong flash. Why did you have to go back to the dealer?

Yes it does... Before you jump off the deep end do a search for the air filter tests here on the DP.. You current filter does a great job of filtering the air, cost much less and provides all the air needed for your engine... For the money you save on just two filter changes you can do everything the new filter box does and not have anyone mess with the programing on your truck...

If you have never had your truck flashed and it is running well why mess up a good thing?
