12 valve cummins swap

Hi..long story short..i bought a 2007 Silverado 2500hd with a 12 valve cummins in it..it was a basquet case..but i had 2 friends..one who knew cummins..and one who was going to rewire stuff for me..
We did the mechanical repairs and improvements..my other other buddy got sick and is no longer with us. So i'm stuck with this truck that works..but not good. Lol
I'm not sure if i should be asking here or on a dodge forum..but i thought i would check here.
I'm trying to figure out a way to make the gauges work. I understand there must be adapters or something to buy..but i have no clue as to what to do..all of the windows and doors work..the wipers work..but the other stuff don't..
Any help would be appreciated..i can wrench some..mostly dirt bikes..but this is a whole new ball game for me. Thanks.

Any idea what year the 12-valve is?

I would use some chevy sensors where possible to get the thing to communicate correctly, like the oil pressure and coolant temp and such.

Does it have a chevy ecm still?

transmission type? transfer case type?

Thanks for the reply..the transfer case and trans is out of the donor dodge. I think it was a 95..it has the p7100 on it. As far as what's left of chev..theres no ecm..and all the sensors that were on the chev engine and powertrain are gone..
Im also missing a plug in by the drivers side i have the male connector..but mo female..i am not sure what this connection controls..i'm in the process now of trying to read through all this information..but a lot of it is new to me.

ok, small edit...I think the male connector on the drivers side under the hood is for the engine sensors harness...which was removed before the truck came to me.

Unfortunately, those sensors, like oil pressure, water temp, rpm, vss, go through the ecm and tcm (engine and transmission computers), which then forward the info digitally to the ip (instrument panel) (possibly through the bcm [body computer]), so you're looking at a bundle of hurt to get the stock IP working.

Damn...that's what i wasn't looking forward to hearing..but through my research..looks like you hit it on the nail..lol
Does anyone know of a way i can get any kind of aftermarket gauges working?
I'm gonna buy a pillar for egt and turbo..but would like a speedometer and gas gauge if possible.. although i'm pretty sure the gas or fuel gauge will never work. Hahahaha
Any ideas is greatly appreciated guys 👍

maybe just google for them, analog gauges should be straightforward (ie, temp sensors), google for cummins swap tach gauge & speedometer, and that should give you ideas about it.

I think the fuel gauge just goes through the bcm, so it should work, even without the ecm/tcm (but I'm not sure), you probably will have to do something about a fuel pump if the truck is a gas job, as the pump in the tank is for gas and puts out 60 psi.
