Icon7 12 Valve Cummings into 94 1 Ton Crew 2WD

After a month or two presuming i was going to have a repaired 6.5 after I worked avidly taking it all apart, finding a cracked head and replacing it and every gasket and seal on the engine, I have reached a point where I refuse to work on a 6.5 ever again. Mostly because of their poor repeated reputation...I had bought a 12 Valve about a year ago and if I would have started with it I would surely be finished by now instead of beginning "again" Which I am about to do..
I have a 1994 Chevy 1 Ton Crew cab 2WD , I am putting the 12 V in it. I will gladly take all the advice I can get as far as where to purchase the engine mounts ETC. I am told if I use the 47RE Transmission and buy the engine mounts then it's a matter of moving the cross member back , drilling a couple holes and having the front part of the driveshaft shortened.. Poof ! like magic right ?

Moved to P&R for further discussion of President Trump....

I kid.

Cummins is a manufacturer of diesel engines, and generally have a decent reputation. Or did before they started putting them in Dodge rams...

I used these engine mounts for a 12-valve in a 94 chevy 4x4, and they worked really well:
cumminsdieselrepowers.com/Motor_Mounts.html

I used an NV4500 transmission, and had the 5th gear fixed up to not come apart. I forget what transfer case I used. borg warner something... I got rid of this truck many years ago now.

Find a decent driveshaft shop and have them made up when you've got it all mounted up and measured.

Thank you for the mount link. Looks like a professional place to get all that. I found a fella in FL that makes them. I bought them from him for $300 even with shipping..gmcuminsconversions.com/motor-mounts---crossmembers-1.html
