Can S fouled Nox sensors be rejuvinated?

I'm planning a (second) trip to Colombia with my 2013 LML. They have "low-sulpur" (not ultra-low) diesel which is usable if not just poking around town but the last time down there I got what I suspect was a tank of black-market Venezualan. With Venezuala selling their fuels for pennies a gallon a black-market has now developed in Colombia. The last time, with visions of my truck on the back of a flat bed on the way to a port, I managed to regain functionality only with >multiple< regens. On this trip I will be carrying a new set of sensors in my parts inventory.

But I would like swapping in a (pricey) new set to be my plan "B" and have cleaning up the fouled ones as my Plan "A". Can it be done?

Is sulphur 'poisoning' of the scr catalyst also an issue?
