New truck

I will update my signature later but I traded my beloved LLY for a 2012 Duramax Denali LML.
There is a difference in the two which makes the LML feel sluggish and slow at normal throttle. I'm in eastern Ky and I went to Lansing Michigan to get a truck that came from mid/southern Ky.
Truck done great driving home, no problems. Guess what? Next day A/C had to be charged and got the P0091 code and Limp Mode.
Pulled over and shut it down, restarted and no limp but still had the engine light. Few hours later no light, and it ran fine to work this morning. I've got a new fuel filter I'm putting on today, gonna clean MAF and I put a new air filter in yesterday. Also there's a weird sound after I shut it down from around the black pipe on front passenger side of motor, about a 4 inch pipe that turns down. Like a valve is opening or trying to open. Any ideas on that? Thanks

Since work was done in the near vicinity, check your wiring.
There is a TSB for the 11 and 12s for the wiring harness rubbing on the ac lines.

Picture of your black pipe on front passenger side of motor, about a 4 inch pipe that turns down.
Is it your air cooler pipe?

Also I charged the AC myself. It may have been in Regen mode when making noise but I'm not sure, I noticed before shutting down that rpm was at like 900 at idle?

Noise is EGR cycling. Does it after every shut down.
