P154b

2015 LML 120k

Getting P154B code. Truck will not start when hot. Runs fine and starts fine cold.

Read a lot about the P154B code being related to the intake heater, but others have seemed to have trouble not starting when cold due to the heater not working. I seem to have the opposite problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Even though it’s acting the opposite. Replace it.
The P154B is a fairly straight forward code pointing to a problem with the intake air heater. The intake air heater is located in the air inlet tube and is used to warm the incoming air to aid in cylinder combustion during cold weather operation. To replace the heater, the throttle body will first need to be removed. Inspect the electrical connector for any loose, broken or damaged wires. If the visual inspection checks ok, replace the intake air heater.

It’s is only used on warm-up of the engine, few minutes not while it is up to temp.
It sounds like it’s coming on when it shouldn’t.
Check to see if it’s coming on when warm.
