What engine gage would you recommend

I just ordered a Fass 95GPH lift pump system for my truck that I'm going to install. It's a 2012 LML that is completely stock with no mods. I'm also going to install the 3 gage pod that mount to the A pillar. I'm going to install a 30,000 psi fuel rail pressure gage to monitor the output of the CP4 pump. A 0-30 psi fuel gage with the sender unit mounted to gage port on the Fass system to monitor the output of the lift pump. Since the truck comes with a Trans temp, water temp and oil pressure gages from factory for my 3rd gage I was leaning toward an oil temp gage or Is there any other parameter that I should monitor. It's a stock motor so is there any reason to monitor EGT, Boost, etc?

EGT and boost are helpful.

I think rail pressure, boost and EGTs are the most important for a three gauge pillar IMHO

I'm new to diesel so what are the benefits of monitoring boost and egt? It would warn me of my turbo going bad? .Just trying to learn.

Boost can let you know whatís going on with the turbo and possible aid in know something is wrong with the turbo. EGT is important for usually post turbo temperature. I watch mine to cool down to around 300 to 330 degrees F before I shut it off. If your towing heavy or itís tuned itís helpful for how hot and how long itís at that temperature to know when to start being easier on the truck till temps drop. Just my 2 cents though.

If you're not going to tune it then gauges are for interest/curiosity/entertainment only.

In stock form the`truck is smart enough not to hurt itself and it already monitors temps and pressures for 'out-of-range' conditions.

Forget the pod gauges & get yourself an Edge CTS2 monitor, it plugs into your OBD port & has everything you listed, minus the fass pump pressure you want to monitor for some reason. You can monitor desired fuel pressure as well as actual fuel pressure.
Turbos are cooled by engine coolant, no need to let it cool down.

Ok Thanks I'll look into the CTS2 monitor.
As for the reason of installing a fuel pressure gage on the Fass system is because it is recommended by Fass in the installation manual. The exact quote is:
A fuel pressure gauge is highly recommended to identify fuel filter life and to prevent engine damage!

A cheaper way out is an idiot light (for low pressure). I put the sending unit in the downstream side of the filter housing and the light is now in my dash. I got the set up from Air Dog It was cheap and easy and lets me know if filter is clogged.

Why not get an Edge Insight or similar monitor so you can monitor several of all the PIDs your truck has in real time?
