Metal Replacement For Plastic Engine Splash Shield

Like many of us my plastic engine splash shield has been cracked for a while. I installed large fender washer under the fwd bolts to secure it on. I didn't want to replace it with the same cheap plastic factory one and have it crack again in a week. After searching for a while I finally found an acceptable metal replacement. It is made of heavy 10 GA steel, it's predrilled and is the same size as the factory one. Install is less that 10 mins using the factory bolts. Because it is raw steel I had mine Line-X coated at my local shop. Total cost was $200.00. $140.00 for the plate and $60.00 to have it Line-X coated. It wasn't cheap but I don't have to worry about it cracking again. If I did something to crack this one my truck would be getting towed. I attacked some pictures of mine.

Oh..sorry about that. I edited my post and must have deleted the link by accident. It won't let me go back and add the link to my original post. So here's the link:

The picture of the one they show on their website is aluminum diamond plate. That's not what you get. The one you get is 10 Gauge flat steel.

If you read the description it says the one pictured isn't the one you get

I made my own from the shelf of a steel cupboard (like a filing cabinet). It's not all that tough, but is stronger than the plastic one.

I modified the original sloped shape so I could add a gold bowtie. At night, the bowtie is lit up by 3 LEDs that are hidden above.

That's nice but I would want to make a support for the radiator hose like the OE plastic one has
