fuel pump hum

I shut off the truck the other day and heard a hum from under the front of the bed. I assume this is the fuel pump (or is it called a lift pump).
Anyway this hum continued for around a minute and I have never heard it before. Should I be concerned?
I just blew the turbo hose a couple of weeks ago and am paranoid.
Thanks

That's most likely the DEF pump assembly...but it's under the passenger footwell.
A stock 2012 duramax has no "lift pump".

It didn't sound like it was near the tank by the passenger door. Farther back than that. Any other possibilities???

At shutdown, DEF is pumped back to the reservoir. Also, the VVT portion of the turbocharger is cycled to prevent sticking.
The EGR valve is also cycled to prevent sticking.
All three of those events can last up to a minute.

Are any of these three items near the front of the bed or under the rear seat area?
