The turbo was replaced in Salt Lake City, Utah two years ago! We live in Tennessee. Most of the other problems appeared while on long trips with camper. Really, appears that dealers in other states have been very good at helping someone from another state (thus far). The smell started several weeks ago. The smell is there as soon as the truck is started in the garage. The truck has been driven on short trips with one of 60 miles and the rest of 10 miles or less. We arrived back home last October from a 3,000 mile trip. The temperature sensor in exhaust was replaced in Boone, North Carolina on this trip. The current dealer replaced the DEF reductant (sp??) tank last year. Have an appointment tomorrow to replace cab air filter. Read somewhere that there isn't a cab filter on this 2012 truck but dealer said there is!?

Has anyone else not seen a "keep driving" message?

Took the truck in for the appointment to replace cab air filter. Okay, dealer said you do not have a filter for the cab1. You can add one. No thank you! More experienced person on the desk today. Also said the down pipe is leaking and can replace gasket for around $300. Guest will go for the fix. Hopefully, this post will help someone else.

Unless your over the time and miles in the special bulletin deal you should not be paying for this fix.

That exhaust leak is a common problem. Agree, you should not have to pay for it.

Special extended warranty expired after five years according to the letter received from GM. The truck was placed in service in April, 2012. I wish it was still under warranty, but the smell only started several months ago. I will accept the fact the warranty has expired. However, will this fix stop the leak or is it the actual or total problem?

There were modified parts, made available about that time. Prior to the change there was some attempt made to fix by re-aligning the pipes.

When it became clear that realognment didn't always work the new parts and special warranty came next.

And of course many trucks with the original design never did have the problem.

If you have it done, I'd expect the issue to not return.
