P0088 code

Hello all I am new to the diesel forum and have a question for y'all I have a 214 gmc 250p HD Denali I just had deleted at 183000 miles they got rid of the def and added 60 hp I use the truck to pull RV'so out of IN , I mashed on the throttle and went about a mile and the truck died , it's giving me the code P0088 ( high fuel rail pressure) could this be the CP4 crashed or a sensor

It's your 60hp tune you or your tuner forgot to raise the pressure at which the error pops up, since you/he increased your rail pressure when you/he tuned it. It is a very easy fix.

Do you have a lift pump? I think it's a fass system that If you set the pressure up to high will cause your code P0088 needs tobe no higher than 10psi

Sounds like you may want to go back to the stock tune until the truck can be adjusted to work with your new tune.

Doh, you need the tune because you deleted the DEF system. Maybe phone the shop who did the tune and ask them what to do?
