LML Died today.

Today was just like any other day. Got ready to leave the house and hit the remote start. Truck started and ran for about 5 minutes before I left. (Weather was 35*F). Jumped in my truck and made my 5 mile commute to work. Everything was fine until I pulled into my parking spot when my truck stalled. I put the truck in Park and tried to restart it but it cranked and cranked but wouldn't run.

Called OnStar and they did a diagnostic and said they didn't get anything out of the ordinary. (Time 0845 EST). OnStar said they would contact a tow company to have it towed to my dealer. Received confirmation text from OnStar and the tow truck actually showed up 5 minutes early (Time 0905 EST). Called my dealer and let him know my truck was on its way. They contacted the local Enterprise Rent-A-Car and a 2011 Chevy 1500 Crew Cab was delivered to my office (Time 0945 EST).

Dealer won't be able to check my truck till tomorrow but I will say that my experience using the GM Roadside Assistance was very positive. I will post an update when I get info from the dealer.

I did get fuel last night (from the same fuel depot that I always do). Truck was on 1/4 tank and it was almost full after $75. Drove about 30 miles with no problem until this morning.

Sorry for the long post - anyone have similiar issue? My fuel filter life is at 85% (only have 6,400 miles on the truck). No "water in fuel" messages came up.

Wow, that sucks. Onstar is legit though. Will be interesting what turns out to be the issue, keep us posted.

Did you try to fix it at all or just called Onstar? Just curious since it could have lost it's prime or something. That situation definitely sounds as good as it could get(despite your new truck being broke!).

Did you check for any blown fuses? Water in fuel would have been my first guess, except you said no WIF light.

First, let me tell you that I'm always on time or early for work.... As I pulled in at 8:28 (long night of partying) that is when the problem occurred. I really didn't have time to check anything (fuses, prime, etc) since I had meetings all morning. No lights or messages came up that would have indicated a problem.

To top this all off, I am headed to the mountains tomorrow for a long weekend of skiing/snowboarding.... Guess I will be taking the '11 Silverado Crew Cab 1500 that they gave me till my truck gets fixed.

Just got off the phone with the dealer..... They didn't get a chance to work on my truck till late this afternoon. They said it wasn't getting fuel.... They are gonna go through their stuff tomorrow and hopefully find out what is going on.

sounds like it's being handled then. These things are mechanical so there will be problems..it's all on how the dealer/cust assistance handles the issue and it sounds like you are being treated fairly. Good luck and let us know

Couldn't agree more! This was my first experience with GM Roadside and issues that would cause my truck to be at the dealer for an extended period of time. The dealer called me to see if the loaner will meet my needs and to apologize for the inconvenience. So far, I am thoroughly pleased with my experience.
