They cannot effectively raise the prices that much; the market will not bear it. Competitors eager to gain market share would respond with lower prices and the used market would receive greater buyer interest in response to a such a dim witted move. Predatory pricing just does not work out so well economically, and these ol' boys have been in business long enough to have figured this out years ago. The passenger truck market does not enjoy the same exclusivity and demand requirements that is present in the OTR product lines, thus no massive increase in the cost of the diesel option.

All said and done, a bombed out Denali will be early mid 60's which is ~4-5k more than the top of the line GMC 2500 Crew today...which I am driving. Dmax will be marginally more for the new emissions crap, then the 20" rims, etc. etc. will bump up the price.

Anyone who thinks that 2010 will be the same price as a 2011 is nuts. Read all you want whereever you want, prices change during the year as they add this feature and delete that feature, nevermind for a new model with more HP, More torque, new chasis, fancy rims, and an uplevel Denali trim.
