No code reader will work on 94-95 GM vehicle.

It is called OBD-I (one) NOT OBD-II (two).

All you need is paper clip as OK mention.
Make sure you remove the plastic coating on those paper clip before using it.
Just use a box cutter to scrape the plastic coating.

Sounds like some injectors are stuck open, but the smoke from the exhaust is concerning.
What does the exhaust smell like? Sweet/diesel/oil etc.
And I suggest thightening the clamps from the turbo to the upper intake manifold so you don't lose boost.

Smells like fuel. Runs a little smoother with the With the old one its runs smoother. Still smokes like that. But u bump the key it starts right up. I did order another pmd. This truck has been sitting for 5 months. Before I got it running for the first time. When I took the video it was with the new/ bad pmd that I bought.

Sorry I forgot to mention I did Tighten up the clamps. I need to find this hose. I'm not sure what it's called. I will take a picture of it. I dont know much about the 6.5 I know more about the ford with 7.3 idi witch I used to own. Just got tired of it breaking down all the time. Does anyone know where the vacuum lines go from the waste gate mine as you can see are nowhere to be found.

CDR hose can be found online at rockauto:
ACDELCO 10154603 GM Original Equipment
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...on)+hose,11784
Vacuum line will run from the vacuum pump to the wastegate solenoid then splits at the solenoid and runs to the wastegate actuator on the side of the Turbo

For the vacuum lines, just go to any part store and get the rubber vacuum line.

Here is the code reader that I bought. It is just easier than a paper clip. There are a ton of these on eBay.

Everyone, forget the lift pump, the injection pump has a vane pump that can suck the fuel to some extent, you will only see a lift pump failure as a hiccup at full throttle, high load, high revs, like when overtaking.
