If it is non fuel rated hose it can degrade and bits of hose material can end up inside of the IP

I reread that link I'll post it here just to confirm I was going to run the clear line from both lines from the ffm. One to the tvalve and the other to the lift pump. This only shows from the injection pump return. Will it be safe to do both lines?

They don't want you using it on HIGH PRESSURE fuel injection, hence the warning.

The line from the FFM to the T valve is just a drain line, so no clear line needs to be installed there.

2 Places to install the clear line to help you chase air :
Install the clear line on the FFM to IP so you can watch the fuel go into the IP.
Then Install a piece of clear line on the return side of the IP as shown here:
https://www.dieselplace.com/forum/63...ml#post7305306
Those two locations will help you locate any air bubbles within the fuel system,

I am thinking about doing the clear line thing my mine. I replaced the FFM with a new one but did not replace the fuel line as I did not have any on hand at the time. I suspect I still have a slight leak somewhere because after the truck is parked I have a spot under the center rear of the engine. It seems oily but not dark like engine oil so I suspect diesel. Am I going to need to remove the intake manifold to get to all the lines? I do know it was a pain trying to get the 2 lines on the front of the FFM on and clamped down, not much room to get your hands in there plus see what you are doing.
