If it wasn’t for not wanting to spend the cash on a stand alone trans controller, I’d throw the db2 from the 6.2 back on and call it a day.

Did you put ACDelco CPS?

This is an interesting thread on CPS:

Why didn't you use the db2?

Use a manual valve body for the transmission?

No wires. No sensors. No controllers.

Not ACDelco. I guess I’ll order one. I’m going out of town this coming week so I won’t get it till I’m back.

I know. I converted my truck to a db2 a few years back. The suburban is what the wife drives, so manual valve body isn’t an option. It just needs to work, without her doing anything.

I think that is part of the Injector Pump.

Try the ACDelco CPS first, that is less risky.
Then if you want to take off the IP and fiddle with it, then at least you know that you have a good CPS.

Any parts that say Sensor or Sender in the name needs to be ACDelco.
ACDelco may not solve your problem but for some reason the aftermarket cannot make the part correctly or they don't want to.
That is just the experience reading in this forum and a lot of GM forum.

Well i got the AC delco sensor, but no change.

Still hard to start but runs great once it does
Still codes 19 & 88
Still gives +2.02 after TDC learn
Runs like it’s retarded after doing the learn
Just shut it off and fire it back up and it will run good and TDC offset = 0

I have read somewhere that the CPS has to be relearn also.
Not sure if that is for a 95 since I never did it.

At any rate, TDC offset 0 is better than +2.02.
When you restart again without relearning, is the TDC still 0?
If the truck runs great at 0, then may need to drive it for a few days and see where it goes.

Which PMD did you use? Some PMD is also quirky with this old truck.
