6.5 Balancers

I was curious to see if a 1995 6.5 harmonic balance or will fit on my 1993 6.5. A friend of mine has a bad crank and he said the harmonic balance or was in pristine condition and he's going to give it to me for my pickup so I was curious as to if it will fit.

They should fit. How ever there is the pulley and then the ballancer its self. Check them over GOOD. Did his crack the crank or bearings went out?

Just acts like a rocket ship 2004 Leather bucket seats from a Tahoe installed. That was a engineering fiasco glad that's over. Dorman PMD now, Grey one died. Tried number 5 resister again went back to a 9 just a dog with out it.OPS sensor rewired to remove load , fuel pump totally rewired as well. Now QuadStar tuned.

Thank you for the quick reply! He said it had a bad bottom end knock and he's just going to junk the pickup. My question is, is if the balancer will fit. There are no cracks or anything in the pulley or the actual balancer itself.

You just have to inspect each of the part separately by looking at them.
Make sure they are good.

There are 2 different HB's. 1 fits the mechanical IP engines, (no crank sensor) and the other fits the electronic IP engines with crank sensor.
The difference is the thickness of the timing gear on the crank which means the part of the HB that slides onto the crank is either long or short.
You can swap them around as long as you use the matching crank timing gear. The fluid damper HB comes with a spacer to accommodate both applications.
