Error code

Hey ya all!

Took a long trip this weekend. Used laptop and scanning software to watch codes. Keep getting an error code 44 which relates to an egr system error. Does anyone know what this code means? Do I need to replace the egr valve or some sensor somewhere?

Here are some other numbers:

MPH 75 RPM 2200 Boost 4.5lbs mileage was an average of 20. miles traveled about 1000.

The EGR is plumbed to the baro and a vac source (pump). When you pull the line from the EGR at idle and put your finger over the hole and then remove it, the egr should click open or closed, baro must see ~20" vac.
