I just picked up a 2000 chevy with the 6.5

I figured I'd say hello. The po seems to have used lots of Heath upgrades and modified the truck for easy maintenance. It came to me with no bed, so I am building a bed for it currently. Once thats done, I'll be fixing minor issues and working on it for longevity.

Welcome to DP! What are you going to do with your truck? Big towing or worm truck?

Looks good. What gauges are in the pods?

Thanks for the welcome!

I had a 98, 1500 4x4 and killed the trans. Its beyond its service life to fix, so I bought this one. I plan to haul some crap now and then which is what the flat bed is for. My girlfriend loves camping, so I might find a flat bed camper to use once in a while.

I'm not sure of all the upgrades, he said he put marine injectors in it. He did something to the turbo wastegate, remote mounted IP brain with heat sink, and the processor behind the dash is chipped. The pods have isspro boost and egt gauges.

Its got about 246k on the clock. The only worry I have is the auto transmission. I have no clue on how to work on them, so I might find a rebuilt or low millage one to put in. I have found a bone yard that will sell me the peddle and slave cyl for $50 to convert to a stick, I'd really like to do that, just no time.

More than likely installed the Heath Turbo Master manual waste gate controller.

So I found a guy selling the frame for an aluminum bed, I picked it up for 600. Now I just need to put on a cab protector, some sheeting, and shine it up.

HEH, the 725 has been on the back burner for a couple years. I built an M35 from parts and I acquired a 5ton wrecker that took a lot of time. Eventually, I will get back to the 725, but probably not this year.
