Awesome thank you. Does it need to have the upgraded LP wiring harness I'm hearing about. Everyone says get it from leroys. Suppose to offer better voltage to LP

You can use the Leroy's harness. Or you can do the OPS Relay Mod: https://www.dieselplace.com/forum/63-...y-install.html

To do the mod you will need: Relay: NAPA - AR143, Relay Connector: NAPA - ECH EC23 or Relay Connector (with mounting bracket): NAPA - ECH EC38

On a 1994 you can get 12v from the Power Block on the passenger firewall instead of tapping the Orange wire as in the write up.

I did this mod 4 years & 100,000 miles ago and haven't had any LP power issues since.

Regardless of which option you pick, replace the OPS with AC Delco D1808A.

I wanted to report that the lift pump test turned out great there was steady feel coming out of the T-bar and deal spewed from the release valve of the fuel filter I've heard there was a steel mesh filter under the paper filter does anyone know if that's true neither O'Reillys or Napa knew what I was asking for. My OPS and the extension tube from Leroys is still on its way as soon as I get that replaced I will post and I'm also getting a new PMD and wiring harness just so I can rule those out as possible failures

That would be the Stanadyne Fuel Filter Screen Manager.
It is located inside the Bottom of the the Fuel Filter manager ( small and round) When you remove the fuel filter look down and you'll see it.

Leroy Diesel has them listed on his page here:Leroy Diesel
If you want to try and source that part locally it is :Stanadyne: #29244

He also has an instructional video of how to replace it here:

Most mechanics are not familiar with an old platform such as the 6.5L.

The Dealerships carry up to date manuals for the Newer vehicles on the road. That's their bread and butter, not 20 year old vehicles...

Just shop wisely and read plenty of threads on here. Before you know it, You'll be doing your own repairs and have the confidence that your truck is reliable
and will last you for a long time...

Thanks. The your posts have helped so much. And saved me a fortune. I've got more done than the mechanic did in a week. Lol

I have received my ops and pmd. Wiring and ops extension will be here in a day or two. My pmd didn't come with the lubricant. Do u use silicone or electrical grease for the pmd/heat sink. Thanks

A thin coat of heat transfer paste. Do not use silicone or electrical grease.

The PMD relocation kit will have a small piece of heat transfer film that will go between the PMD and the heatsink.
The harness to the IP and the PMD will need just a small dab of Dielectric Grease to help prevent any corrosion inside of each connector..
