can you identify this trans

Was supposed to go and pick this trans up tomorrow and I asked if he could send a picture. The picture doesnt look like a 4l80e to me. Was wondering if this guy is getting his trans confused. Can someone identify the trans. Thx

I have been pulling picks of the web and its either that or a 4l60. Well glad I asked for pics before I drove 2 hrs to get it! Any other confirmation appreciated!

And I may be wrong but that tail shaft cover in suprapuller's picture is made for Trans Am's and camaro/Z28 pre 1994

definitely 4L60E since it has the big electrical connector. 700R4 looks the same but has a "throttle valve" cable on passenger side front. 4L60 is the late version of the 700R4.

No doubt its a 4L60E, glad you caught it before wasting the time and fuel! You would think the guy would verify what he has to sell, before advertising it!

Definitely a 4L60E, and by the tailshaft housing design, its from a GM F body, i.e. Camaro, TransAm, etc.. That housing may have been used in Vettes as well.

I'm not sure what it is but it's for a 2 wheel drive and for sure not a 4l80e. I have pulled and installed 4l80es and that's not one.
